Background
The executive and line management at a leading manufacturer of consumer and industrial plastic goods, required functionality for reporting and analysis of their sales, purchasing, customer and manufacturing information. Clutchpoint delivered a complete data mart solution that enabled managers to perform analysis on their customers, products and manufacturing. The system enabled analysis of sales performance, purchasing trends, raw materials usage and credit memos.

Architecture
The source system was an MRP system called ManFact with the data residing in a proprietary database format. The data mart resided on SQL Server. Cognos Impromptu, PowerPlay and Macros were used to implement cubes and reports for multi-dimensional analysis and reporting.
